Ian Fleming:  To most people’s surprise, the author of the James Bond novels and short stories is probably as badass as 007 himself. Fleming was a member of the British Naval Intelligence during WWII and was involved in planning Operation Mincemeat and Operation Golden Eye while also overseeing two active service units. He was a heavy smoker and drinker with a colorful love life.  Of all characters to be loosely based off the life of the author, James Bond has to be the most hardcore.  “You only live twice: Once when you’re born And once when you look death in the face.”
